Oatmeal Muffin Mix -Jane

3 cups flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups shortening
3 cups oats

Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugars. Cut in shortening and mix in oats. Store muffin mix in container. Good for up to 6 months. 

To make muffins:
Combine 3 cups mix, 1 egg, and 2/3 cup milk. Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes.
