2 large cans diced tomatoes (sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how hot the chilies turn out to be...)
2 fresh yellow chilies
2 fresh green chilies
1 fresh jalapeno
1 bunch cilantro
2 bunches green onions
minced garlic
cayenne pepper
cumin
oregano
lime juice (or lemon)
salt
fresh ground black pepper
Remove tops and seeds from chilies and quarter. Wash cilantro and cut through stems and tops a couple of times. Remove roots of onions and chop the same way. In a blender put in one or two types of chili with some tomatoes and pulse until mostly smooth. Dump into a large bowl and repeat with onions and tomatoes, cilantro, and tomatoes, etc., until everything has been blended and dumped. Stir in the seasonings and taste-test. It might take 1/2 the bag of chips to get it right!
