1 onion, chopped
1 cup cream
4 cups milk
6 potatoes
2 stalks celery, chopped
3 sprigs parsley
6 sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. sugar
Peel and dice potatoes. Saute celery, onions, and potatoes in a little butter or bacon grease, sprinkling vegetables with a little salt. Add cream, milk, salt, sugar, pepper, and bacon. Simmer soup on low for 30 minutes or until done. If desired, thicken soup with flour and water mixture, or a handful of dried potato flakes.
